Canadian Spirit!!

~

Canada has 6 gold medals now....for 11 in total...I know...I know...all of you Americans out there are saying...whatever....we have 7 gold...26 in total.

You know what...this is a wonderful opportunity for all of the worlds greatest winter athletes to shine and shine they are!!

We witnessed a Canadian skater take the first step and finish in 3rd place before the next round to winning a medal last night after the sudden tragic death of her very young (55 years) mother just this past week. We watched her soldier on, as her Mother would have wanted her to and fight to do what she was born to do.....way to go Joannie Rochette, your skate was a testament to your spirit. Your Mother would be so proud!!

Let's not forget the Men's Hockey team
who defeated Germany last night 8 - 2.

Are you ready to beat the Czech Republic
tonight...can't wait for the game!!

~
Have a fantastic day everyone!!

  3. She hasn't gotten the bronze! She still has a shot at getting the gold!! I haven't watched last night's short program yet (I taped it) just so I could see her skate! My heart goes out to her. But your ice dancers got GOLD!!!

  7. Good Morning Sweet Nerina...
I have to tell you I thought your Ice Dancers were so elegant and romantic when they skated. I was thrilled that they won GOLD. They truly were the best. I have so enjoyed watching the Olympics, I try to stay up as late as I can to watch as much as I can, but I get up at 4am for work, so unfortunately I miss a lot of the good stuff that comes on late night.

Hope you have a beautiful day sweetie. I think you should be getting your box by the end of this week. Anyway I sure hope so. That little mannequin I told her she had a long road to travel, but I know she so wants out of that box. I put the little shoe in a big chloche box inside so that it would not get smashed in the travel. I really liked the little shoe.

Talk to you soon sweetie. Country hugs and so much love...Sherry

  9. Dearest Nerina,
Canada is America. And us US citizens aren't all chiding our neighbors to the north. I love you all and thanks for all that you do.

  10. Hello BFF! Yes, and your ice dancers took the gold medal! They were awesome! I felt horrible about the skater who unexpectedly lost her mom, and at such a young age. How tragic. How amazing she can even perform, I'm hoping she gets the gold! xOxO
